Bernie Sanders' 2020 presidential campaign set a new record for first-day donations.
The $6 million in donations came from about 225,000 donors, with an average donation of $27.

Sanders enters a democratic primary field that includes Harris and Senators Elizabeth Warren, Cory Booker and Kirsten Gillibrand.
