6 Mummy Body Parts Hidden And Discovered In Luggage In Egypt
According to Business Insider, a passenger traveling from Cairo to Belgium attempted to smuggle six mummified human body parts out of Cairo.
This included two feet, two legs, a left hand, an arm, and part of a torso.
The parts were discovered by security and customs in Cairo, after going through an X-ray machine.
The body parts were hidden in hollowed out loudspeakers.
The Egyptian Ministry of Antiquities wrote in a Facebook post, "They are now confiscated according to the Antiquities Protection law and its amendments.
The parts are now at the Egyptian museum for restoration."
The law states that it is illegal to steal anything from ancient civilizations and take it out of the country.
The crime comes with the risk of a two year prison sentence and a fine.
