The U.S. Air Force's Thunderbirds exhibition squadron wowed movie fans in Los Angeles Monday night (March 4) when the elite military demonstration pilots flew over the 'Captain Marvel' movie premiere on Hollywood Boulevard.
'Captain Marvel' is Marvel Studios' first female-led superhero movie which stars Oscar-winner Brie Larson in the highly anticipated movie, playing U.S. fighter pilot Carol Danvers as she becomes a powerful superhero.
Executive Producer and Marvel veteran Victoria Alonso explained why the U.S. Air Force and the Thunderbirds wanted to take part in the flyover of the Hollywood premiere.
"Well the Air Force wanted to have a presence, this is a movie that is empowering to the (Air) Force, to the women of the Force so this is something that was really important for us.
I think it is the first time it has ever happened so we are honored that they allowed that to happen for our movie, this is an important presence to have, it's almost like the crown on the queen, if you would, right?
