NASA Plans First-Ever All-Female Space Walk

NASA will soon have its first ever all female spacewalk.??????Anne McClain and Christina Koch are two American Astronauts who will take part in the space walk at the International Space Station on March 29th.??????Both women will be in contact with a pair of ground flight directors who are also women, Kristen Facciol and Mary Lawrence.????Facciol expressed her excitement in a tweet, writing in part, “I just found out that I’ll be on console providing support for the FIRST ALL FEMALE SPACEWALK…”??????Adding: “I can not contain my excitement!!!!”??????According to Axios, spacewalks rarely occur and they are conducted to either make observations or mechanical repairs to the ISS.??????A NASA spokesperson told Axios that the spacewalk was quote, “not orchestrated to be this way.”????The space agency says all three NASA astronauts set to be on the ISS at the end of March are from the 2013 astronaut class, of which women made up half the class.??
