Hail and heavy flooding shuts roads in California's Sonoma

(ROUGH CUT - NO REPORTER NARRATION) Intense flooding shut roads in California on Wednesday morning (March 6).

Tuolumne County Sheriff's Office posted a video on Facebook showing floodwaters gushing through a street in Sonoma County.

The sheriff's office said in the post that many roads in the country and city were flooded and closed.

Social media users shared images of an inundated garage, and creeks after heavy rain and hail pelted their district.

The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning with the possibility of large hail for Tuolumne County in the afternoon, urging people to take shelter.

The weather service later updated that the storm had weakened, but heavy rain was still expected in the area.
