'My Heart Is Hurting,' Says All Blacks Star Sonny Bill Williams

New Zealand rugby player Sonny Bill Williams has posted a moving tribute to the victims of Friday’s mosque mass shootings in Christchurch.

In a video uploaded to Twitter, the All Blacks star said he was deeply saddened by the news.

“Just heard the news and I couldn’t put it into words how I’m feeling right now," said Williams, who is a Muslim.

“Apparently there’s close to 30 people dead," he said.

This figure was later updated to 49.

“Just sending out my duas and inshallah everyone that’s been killed today in Christchurch.

Just sending my duas to your love ones,” he continued.

"Inshallah you guys are all in paradise and I’m just deeply, deeply sad that this would happen in New Zealand.” Credit: Sonny Bill Williams via Storyful
