President of the Council on Foreign Relations, Richard Haas, said he strongly disagreed with the move…tweeting that it violates a U.N.
Security Council resolution that "rules out acquiring territory by war…" Netanyahu has long pressured Trump to recognize Israel's claim to sovereignty over the disputed area.
Netanyahu thanked Trump via tweet and by phone, saying "you've made history." Trump is scheduled to host Netanyahu at the White House on Monday and Tuesday of next week.
