'Yellow Vest' clashes erupt in French city of Nantes
NO REPORTER NARRATION.
"Yellow vests" clashed with police in the western French city of Nantes on Saturday (March 23), who responded by deploying tear gas.
A total of 40,500 demonstrators picketed across France on Saturday, among them 5,000 in Paris.
Compared to previous weeks, Saturday's demonstrations remained relatively peaceful during the day, as police closed off various sectors in central Paris, including the iconic Champs Elysees avenue, which has been the battleground of police and protesters since the "yellow vests" birth in mid-November 2018.
