Fremont Police Department Deploys First Tesla Patrol Car

Fremont Police Department deployed its first zero-emission Tesla patrol car on Monday, March 25.

According to police, the Tesla Model S 85 electric vehicle is customized for patrol operations and is in alignment with the city of Fremont’s goal to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 25 percent by the year 2020.

Footage posted to the department’s Facebook page shows the Model S 85 on its first patrol.
