ACLU to Launch Its First-Ever Voter Engagement Campaign for 2020
In the lead up to its 100-year anniversary, the American Civil Liberties Union will do something its never done before...get involved in a presidential election.????On March 31st, the ACLU will launch its “Rights For All” campaign at the University of New Hampshire, where next year the Granite State will be the first to vote in the 2020 primaries.????According to its website, the Rights For All campaign is targeting criminal justice reform…????...immigration rights, reproductive freedom and voting rights as 2020 approaches.????The site also says the ACLU’s goals is to “move candidates to take stronger positions on these issues”.????The ACLU did stress that it will not be endorsing or opposing candidates but rather make sure they are discussing the previously mentioned issues.????In February, the ACLU filed a federal lawsuit against President Trump after his national emergency declaration…????...joining others in legal action of the border wall construction.
