NASA Scientists Considering A Cave-Diving Rover To Explore The Inside Of The Moon

According to a report by Digital Trends, over a dozen mysterious caverns lie beneath the lunar surface, and NASA is considering a plan to send an extreme-terrain rover to rappel down and explore them.

The caverns may reportedly provide ready-made habitats for future crewed missions, protecting astronauts from the extreme temperatures, radiation, and asteroids that occasionally impact the moon's surface.
