Avenatti Indicted, Faces 300 Years In Prison

Disgraced attorney Michael Avenatti's legal woes keep getting worse and worse.

He was already in hot water before this week.

He was accused of trying to extort money from Nike.

Today a federal grand jury in Los Angeles indicted him on 36 counts of stealing from clients and committing tax crimes and perjury.

Avenatti is accused of stealing millions from clients, including a mentally challenged disabled man.

Newser reports these charges are separate from the Nike investigation in New York.
