Nancy Pelosi Doesn't Defend Rep. Omar In Criticism Of Trump Video
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi criticized Rep.
Ilhan Omar and President Donald Trump on Saturday after Trump attacked Omar in a video post.
Business Insider reports Pelosi did not mention Omar by name in a tweet criticizing the actions of the two.
"The memory of 9/11 is sacred ground, and any discussion of it must be done with reverence.
The President shouldn't use the painful images of 9/11 for a political attack.
It is wrong for the President, as Commander-in-Chief, to fan the flames to make anyone less safe."
A video this week went viral showing Rep.
Ilhan Omar saying "some people did something" on 9/11.
Friends and defenders of Omar said the comment was "taken out of context" and "manipulated."
President Donald Trump shared a video to Twitter Friday juxtaposing footage of Omar's comment with photos of the Twin Towers collapsing.
"Members of Congress have a duty to respond to the President's explicit attack today.
@IlhanMN's life is in danger.
For our colleagues to be silent is to be complicit in the outright, dangerous targeting of a member of Congress." - AOC
