Pope Francis Tells The Church To Be Humble On Palm Sunday

Pope Francis waved palm and olive branches in St.

Peter’s Square for this Palm Sunday.

For Christians, Palm Sunday is the day Jesus rose into Jerusalem and was called a Messiah.

According to Reuters, the pope is asking the Church to be humble ahead of Easter.

During his homily, Pope Francis said it is “important to resist the temptations of triumphalism.” He said it’s “the most treacherous temptation threatening the Church.”
