Apple’s May Still Be Interested In Creating Its Own Self-Driving Car

According to Digital Trends, a recent report suggests that Apple still have interest in building its own car, specifically self-driving cars.

A Reuters report claims that Apple is in discussions with a number of companies that sell next-generation lidar sensors, a technology essential to help autonomous vehicle systems understand their surroundings.

Based on Apple's continued interest in lidar technology, its likely that the company's ambition to create a self-driving car, known as Project Titan.

Digital Trends suggests that, at the very least, it may be exploring the possibility of building autonomous vehicle hardware that could potentially be applied to cars produced by other vehicle manufacturers.
