Eight Britons Among Nearly 300 Dead After Sri Lanka Easter Sunday Attacks
290 people are dead and a further 500 are injured after a series of bombs detonated across Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday.
Churches and hotels were targeted, with six sites in the capital Colombo attacked as well as churches in Negombo on the west coast and Batticaloa on the east coast.
Eight Britons have been confirmed dead.
Sri Lankan authorities have shut down social media across the country to stop misinformation spreading, but it has also made it difficult for concerned families to get in touch with their loved ones.
Government officials have blamed local militant group National Thowfeek Jamaath for the attacks.
