Cars Abandoned in Flood Water Following Heavy Rain in Alicante

Officials in the Spanish town of Xabia said on April 23 that cranes would begin to extract cars from flood water as soon as possible following record rainfall in Alicante.

The flooding prompted evacuations and more than 100 people were rescued, el Pais reported.

This footage shows the water-logged streets of Xabia.

Several cars are seen partially submerged in water.
