President Donald Trump changed his position with China and increased pressure on them to reach a trade deal.

He threatened to raise U.S. tariffs on $200 billion worth of Chinese goods this week and target more later as well.

Trump made the announcement on Twitter, confusing supporters who thought there was good progress being made between the two world leaders.

Trump has even cited this progress and praised his relationship with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
