As our pets get older, they may develop health complications.

Some of those complications can affect our pet's diet.

Today's question for our petvet on call is -- my dog's teeth have to be removed.

Will he have to be on a soft food diet.

"for toothless dog its not the texture thats important its the kibble size that's important.

Dogs don't have flat chewing teeth like we do.

They would crunch a kibble down to a small size adn swallow it so as long as you provide a small kibble food.

They'll eat just fine.

However softening it would be a kind gesture and i'm sure they'd appreciate that."

Dowe: if you have a question -- whether it's about a weird habit of your pet -- or a health concern -- just send it to petvet at koam-tv dot-com.
