'X-Men: Dark Phoenix' On Pace for $50 Million Opening Weekend It would be one of the smallest debuts for an 'X-Men' movie in the franchise.

According to 'The Hollywood Reporter,' projections could rise as marketing increases towards its June 7 premiere date.

But the movie does not open during a holiday which would help with box office numbers.

Due to production issues, 'Dark Phoenix's' release date has been pushed back twice.

At first, the movie was scheduled to premiere last November before being moved to this February.
