The Talk - 'The Talk' Hosts Defend Amy Schumer Over Being Mom-Shamed For Returning to Work
"The Talk" hosts support Amy Schumer over being mom-shamed for returning to work two weeks after giving birth.
"I just love the fact that she's hitting them back," Sheryl Underwood says.
"I know her, and as female comics, you know, there is expectations of us...When my dad passed, I was working at Caroline's, and I was working a whole week of shows... it gave me the connection to the audience, so that I could feel something..I cried, I drank, and I went through everything...but it was that love and that bond that I got from the audience..." Sara Gilbert adds, "This really got under my skin, because I was like come on, if she's with her baby 23 hours a day, around the clock and she goes to do a show when she feels up to it, she's a bad ass.
And, I also think so many women deal with emotions, postpartum depression, who knows what somebody's going through.
If this helps them be more present with their child, good for them... We love you, you're awesome, keep doing what you're doing."
