Movin' On Out: Who's Abandoning New York State--And Why

A new SmartAsset study reports rich millennials are moving away from New York more than any other state in America.

According to Business Insider, they're not the only ones: wealthy bankers in New York City are also fleeing the city's high cost of living in search of more affordable housing.

Defining "rich millennials" as people younger than 35 who have an adjusted gross income of $100,000 or more, the study found that 4,867 of them left New York during a one-year period.
