From happening in the future.
More local news now... sun prarie high school students gained a new set of skills this year... that can't be learned in a classroom.
The construction class built a habitat for humanity home from the ground up.
They began building the home last winter with only a poured foundation in place.
The project required hands-on experience and provided a new set of vocational skills for the students.
Their teacher... justin zander says it took a lot of dedication and teamwork.
((("when we are putting the roofs on these... the roof trust system... the kids learn that you have to work together when you are working with 30 foot trust... you can't just throw it up there by yourself and hold it in place by yourself and pin it in so they learn to work with a group."))) the house is for amber bybee and her four children.
She gained hours of sweat equity through taking classes and helping with construction.
