Planned Parenthood Sues Trump Administration To Block Abortion Rule

Reuters reports Planned Parenthood sued the Trump administration on Tuesday.

The non-profit wants to block a new federal rule that lets healthcare workers refuse abortions for religious or moral reasons.

The lawsuits filed in Manhattan federal court said enforcing the “conscience” rule would encourage discrimination against minorities.

The rule, issued by the Department of Health and Human Services, is scheduled to take effect on July 22.
