Hunt asks Hong Kong government to pause extradition bill

Jeremy Hunt has appealed to the Hong Kong government to "pause, reflect and think again" over its new extradition proposals.

The Foreign Secretary said the "rights" and "freedoms" of the people in the region, guaranteed by the "legally binding" Sino-British Joint Declaration could be undermined by the implementation of laws that could see people accused of serious crimes extradited to the Chinese mainland.
