Soccer Analyst Says US Women's Team Are World Cup Villains

The United States defeated Thailand, 13-0, in the 2019 FIFA World Cup on Tuesday.

According to Business Insider, the team has been met with criticism.

They were accused of unsportsman-like conduct.

They were criticized for running up the score, celebrating late goals, and taunting the Thai team as they cried.

Soccer analyst Alexi Lalas defended the team's behavior.

However, he noted that this makes them the 'villains' of the tournament going forward.
