Woman Hit With Bottle, Bus 'Heavily Vandalized' During Raptors Celebrations

A woman required treatment from paramedics in Toronto on the night of June 13-14 after she was hit on the head with a beer bottle during celebrations following the Raptors’ NBA Finals win.

Jordana Springgay shared footage of the woman being transported on a stretcher with several police officers standing by.

“Toronto Fire tells me she was hit in the head with a beer bottle.

Conscious and breathing,” she tweeted.

Springgay shared additional footage of dozens of fans sitting on top of a bus that was brought in to the area to block traffic.

She said that the bus was “heavily vandalized.” The Toronto Raptors defeated the Golden State Warriors 114-110 in Oakland, to take the finals series 4-2.
