Police Arrest Suspect They Say Brought 4-Year-Old Child Along on Burglaries
A Florida man was arrested on a number of different charges, including grand theft and child neglect, after police said he brought a four-year-old girl with him during a series of suspected crimes on June 13.
Footage from the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office shows 35-year-old James Giambra being apprehended by deputies at a property on Coleman Street in Edgewater.
Deputies “checked on the four-year-old girl to make sure she was OK, and she handed over an iPod Touch she said was taken from a car in the garage,” the sheriff’s office said.
Giambra was charged with burglary of an occupied dwelling, two counts of burglary of a conveyance, grand theft, petit theft, and two counts of child neglect, as well as with possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
