Dutch University Is Attempting To Level The Playing Field With Women Only Applicants
A Dutch engineering university is taking action in an effort to increase its share of female academics.
Beginning July 1st, Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) in the Netherlands will open job vacancies to women only.
The university will not allow men to apply for permanent academic jobs for the first 6 months of the recruitment process.
Under the new fellowship program, if no suitable applicant has been found after the 6 month period, men can then apply.
