US House Approves $4.5 Billion Aid Package For Migrants At US-Mexico Border
The U.S. House of Representatives approved a $4.5 billion aid package for the surge of migrants coming in.
The package includes new standards for migrants in custody after reports of overcrowded conditions.
According to Reuters, the measure passed 230-195 but now the Senate has to either amend or approve it.
President Donald Trump already vowed to veto the legislation approved by the House.
White House official say it would hamstring the administration’s border enforcement efforts.
