Ice Covers Guadalajara Streets After Severe Hail Storm

A severe hailstorm resulted in flooding and damage to property in the Mexican cities of Guadalajara and Tlaquepaque on June 30, local media reported.

Footage posted to Instagram by @mike.colima shows a truck traveling through a flooded, ice-covered street in Guadalajara.

Local media, citing the city’s mayor, said the flooding entered some homes and 10 people presented to hospital with hypothermic symptoms. Civil protection machinery was used to clear streets, the report said, adding that the storm was highly unusual.
