'Lucky Seven' Koala Joeys Peep Out of Mothers' Pouches at Australian Reptile Park
Seven adorable koala joeys peeped their heads out from their mothers’ pouches at Australian Reptile Park in July, marking the start of a successful breeding season for the zoo.
The park dubbed the babies the “Lucky Seven” after keepers confirmed that seven healthy joeys had been born, according to a press release.
“The ‘Lucky Seven’ koala joeys bring hope to the declining numbers in the iconic Australian species,” the press release read.
“We are doing everything we can to ensure a future for what is arguably Australia’s most iconic, native mammal and after the confirmation that we have seven joeys, we’re feeling lucky!” Credit: Australian Reptile Park via Storyful
