As residents of the Gulf Coast braced for the onslaught of Tropical Storm Barry on Friday, July 12, the US Air Force’s Hurricane Hunters shared this video, showing a rainbow peeking through Barry’s clouds as they few through the storm.

The National Hurricane Center said the storm would bring “life-threatening storm surge inundation” along the Gulf Coast, long-duration heavy rainfall, flash flooding and river flooding.

Mayor of New Orleans LaToya Cantrell called for the voluntary evacuation of residents in areas outside of levee protection, and for others to shelter in place by 8 pm Friday.
