Trump Turns Up Rhetoric
President Donald Trump turned up the heat on four progressive congresswomen.
Trump has been relentless against the four, dubbed "the Squad." In tweets Tuesday he defined them as "pro-terrorist." "Horrible anti-Israel, anti-USA, pro-terrorist & public shouting of the F...word, among many other terrible things," tweeted Trump.
The tweetstorm against "The Squad" started Sunday when the President said members who did not like America should go home.
Although the clock is ticking, pardon the pun, TikTok is not going down without a fight. Per Bloomberg and Reuters, the video-sharing app and its Chinese parent company, Bytedance, filed a complaint in a Washington federal court on Friday aiming to block the Trump administration’s upcoming ban, which is set to take effect on Sept. 20. The ban, announced by the Commerce Department earlier that day, will prevent any new downloads or updates to the app in the U.S.
U.S. Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden warned the United Kingdom that it must honour the Northern Irish peace deal as it extracts itself from the European Union or there would be no U.S. trade deal. Adam Reed reports.
