Yellow vest protester James Goddard walks into Westminster Magistrates' Court to face a charge of harassment during an incident involving Anna Soubry MP.
Goddard, who was often seen on demonstrations with his supporters wearing a hi-vis vest, denies one count of harassment without violence outside the Houses of Parliament when Ms Soubry, then a Conservative MP, was called a “Nazi, traitor and scum”.
Former Dover MP and “sexual predator” Charlie Elphicke has been jailed for twoyears for sexually assaulting two women, about a decade apart. The disgraced49-year-old father of two showed no emotion as judge Mrs Justice Whipplesentenced him to an immediate prison term for three counts of sexual assault,following a month-long trial which heard trained lawyer Elphicke lied topolice, senior Tories, and his wife.

At least five arrests have been made after Extinction Rebellion protestersblocked a road near to the Houses of Parliament. The campaigners sat in themiddle of the road next to Parliament Square to stop the traffic on Tuesdayafternoon. Dozens of police officers swooped in to carry them away to vansparked nearby, while the rest of the group danced, chanted and cheered.
