Police officer run over by suspected car thief could face 'life changing' injuries
A police officer who suffered serious injuries when he was run over by a suspected car thief will return to the operating theatre later on Sunday, West Midlands Police said.
The traffic officer also had surgery on Saturday evening, and his condition is not life-threatening, the force said, adding: "We don't know his long-term prognosis at this stage and our best wishes remain with him and his family at this difficult time."
