Australian police praise Britons who detained stabbing suspect

Australian police and witnesses say a knife-wielding man has attempted to stab several people in Sydney before being arrested.

One woman was taken to hospital and police are investigating if the incident is linked to the discovery of a woman's body at a nearby hotel.

New South Wales Police superintendent Gavin Woods said in a press conference on Tuesday that the man attempted to stab multiple people near a busy intersection.
