Jury finds 'Hollywood Ripper' guilty of murder

A California jury on Thursday found accused 'Hollywood Ripper' serial killer Michael Thomas Gargiulo guilty of murder and attempted murder.

Jury finds 'Hollywood Ripper' guilty of murder

A woman who actor Ashton Kutcher was dating in February of 2001, Ashley Ellerin, was among Gargiulo's victims. She was slain in her Hollywood home after being stabbed 47 times.

Garguilo was also was convicted of the 2005 murder of 32-year-old Maria Bruno and found guilty of the attempted murder of 26 year old Michelle Murphy.

The 'sanity phase' of the trial is slated to begin on Tuesday, Judge Larry P.

Fidler said.
