In a bid to create awareness regarding traffic rules and regulations and inspire people to follow them,Rajkot Traffic police came up with a unique idea. They deployed two police officers dressed up as Lord Ganesha to spread awareness.

The Policemen offered sweets and a commendation certificate to two-wheeler riders wearing helmets.

The traffic police have taken the initiative in collaboration with a Trust named, "Bolbala".The amended Motor Vehicles Act has enhanced the penalties for driving errors and many people have been challaned with hefty fines when found violating traffic rules.
