US President Donald Trump has marked the 18th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks at the Pentagon military intelligence complex in Virginia, where one of three hijacked planes crashed on September 11 2001.

Mr Trump said he had called off recent peace talks with the Taliban, after learning that they had killed an American soldier from Puerto Rico.
