Senior UAW Honcho Charged With Embezzling From Union Members

A senior member of the United Auto Workers union was arrested and charged on Thursday.

Vance Pearson was charged with conspiring to embezzle hundreds of thousands of dollars in union money.

Pearson is a member of the union’s International Executive Board and a regional director.

Reuters reports Pearson was charged after the FBI executed search warrants at a number of locations.

Locations included Pearson’s UAW office and at current UAW President Gary Jones’ Michigan home.
