The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation came under fire for awarding India’s Prime Minister.

According to CNN, the foundation gave him an award for his work to improve sanitation in the country.

Narendra Modi began the Clean India program, which had millions of toilets builts to raise hygiene awareness.

Yet a group of South Asian American criticized the choice because of Modi’s human rights records.
