((marissa)) more airline flights are arriving on time - and the number of bags being lost is down.

That story tops this morning's breakfast buzz.

((chris)) the department of transportation says 88 and a half percent of domestic flights arrived on time in november.

That's an improvement over both the previous month - and november 2015.

The rate of bags getting lost, delayed or damaged was also down and at its lowest since figures dating back to 19-87.

((marissa)) researchers are working on a way to make batteries stop exploding.

Stanford university researchers have created a way to build a miniature fire extinguisher - directly into lithium-ion batteries.

Originally it was designed for bigger batteries like electric cars - but it can be applied to smaller devices - like smartphones or hoverboards.

Experts say the tech won't be put into use anytime soon - but its in the works.

((chris)) the inauguration this week means big sales for people selling presidential merchandise.

The general manager at "wet paint printing and design" says 70 percent of his sales right now - come from donald trump cardboard cut outs.

Politicians -- especially president barack obama and bernie sanders -- are always in high demand -- but right now the president- elect is "trumping" any other request.

The store says it's sold about five- thousand cardboard cutouts of the future commander in chief.
