Missouri State picks up Rice transfer J.T. Granato.

Megan college football kickoff is just two weeks away for dave steckel's missouri state bears.

Today the team wrapped up fall camp with their final scrimmage.

Today stec confirms the transfer of j.t.

Granato, a redshirt sophomore from rice who can play right away.

He has only two weeks to learn the playbook, but stec expects granato to be up to speed by the season opener at mizzou.

Stec says junior college transfer peyton hews-slig is the starter for now....despite granato's late arrival to the team.

Dave steckel/head coach: "my brother coached 24 years in the nfl.

We found a guy on the waiver wire, we were excited about him, we asked him to join our football program.

In 34 years, that's the first time i've ever done something of that nature."

Malik earl/wide receiver: "i don't worry about who flings the ball, man.

I just control what i can control.

It's easier on me, and i don't have to change anything about my route
