West point... peco foods alongside the win job center at the east mississippi community college campus hosted a job fair for the first time earlier in the day... and over 200 people were involved... wtva's gracyn ashmore attended the event... out here at the win job center members of the community could come out and talk to the company to see what job positions are available and to interview for them."
Participants viewed a presentation on the company and available jobs before sitting down one on one to interview with a company member... the private interviews were held in classrooms at the facility... higher education or the completion off grade school is not required to apply for a position... "we certainly encourage further education, but someone who can show up to workevery dayand gives us one hundred percent, we can workoff of.
And we can give them the tools to do their job."
The company is a provider for buffalo wild wings, wing stop, wendys,arbysand more... and their goal for this event is to better the town of west point... "we are hoping we can bring not just a good work environment for everybody, but also put some money back into the community."
Gracyn ashmore, wtva 9 news... peco farms and the university will continue to work together to provide jobs and classes..
For students with the schedules to be able to have a career and be in school..
