A new report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says 2018 was a record-breaking year.
But Gizmodo reports that's not good news.
Rather, 2018 saw yet another record high for sexually transmitted diseases.
Reported cases of chlamydia, gonorrhea, and syphilis have climbed each year, for the past half-decade.
In 2018, there were nearly 2.5 million confirmed cases of chlamydia, gonorrhea, and syphilis.
That's the highest combined number of all three ever documented.
