The Charing Cross Express branch of Tesco had to apologise for "availability issues" on Wednesday evening (October 9) after "road closures in surrounding areas" - a result of Trafalgar Square being occupied by Extinction Rebellion protests, closing the area to traffic.

Footage captured shows scarce shelves where dozens of food and drink products should be.
