Trump walked back the white house's initial statement ... saying he would be open to the inquiry if the rules are fair.

Ukraine's president zelensky said there was no blackmail.

Turkish forces are bombarding territory held by america's kurdish allies in northern syria.

The military offensive comes days after the trump administration abruptly withdrew u-s troops from the region near the syrian border.

A bipartisan bill emerging in the senate would punish turkey for the incursion into syria, and it could block u-s arms sales to turkey.

Pacific gas and electric began shutting off electricity to customers in several dozen central and northern california counties.

Hundreds of thousands of homes and businesses were affected as the utility tried to prevent wildfires from expected high winds and dry heat.

As colder weather comes in this weekend ... it's a good idea to get ready for winter.

Be sure to check your tires ... your battery ... and get an oil change for your vehicle.

It's also important to make sure your furnance is properly serviced by a technician.
