Earlier this week we sat down with former n-f-l player--- ryan o'callaghan about his new book "my life on the line..."
And today--- he shared his story--- with even more people... hoping to save a life... chico state hosted the redding native in a semester-long series called conversations on diversity and inclusion... o' callaghan spoke about his fear of being exposed as gay by his teammates and how he avoided suspicison.
He eventually grew addicted to oxycontin and had thoughts of suicide after retiring.
He says what saved his life was seeking help in therapy and hopes any member of the audience will do the same... i never once thought about dating a guy.
I was too paranoid in my own head, doing what i was doing.
I thought that even experimenting once would lead to getting caught and that was my worst nightmare o' callaghan played forthe kansas city chiefs and new england patriots before retiring... for o'callaghan's full sit down interview with our team... head to our website at action news now dot com under the local sports tab... we're
