Trump's Top Trade Adviser Cited Made-Up 'Harvard Scholar' In Multiple Books

President Donald Trump's top trade adviser is Peter Navarro, who's written several books on China and economics.

In many of his books, he has cited a supposed Harvard scholar and investor named "Ron Vara." But according to Business Insider, there's just one problem: Ron Vara himself doesn't exist.

In fact, Navarro told the Chronicle Review 'Ron Vara' is merely an alter ego.

It's refreshing that somebody finally figured out an inside joke that has been hiding in plain sight for years.
